Active ingredients
- Bamboo Charcoal. Obtained from Bamboo (Bambusa sp.) plant pieces that are burnt to charcoal. Great absorbing properties.
- Spirulina Algae. Moisturizing, antiwrinkle, antiage and antiacne agent.
- Mandelic Acid. AHA(Alfa-hydroxyacid) that comes from bitter almondand is named after the German name of almond “mandel”. It has a bigger molecular structure than glycolic acid, so it works more on the skin surface and is thus gentler on the skin. Another distinct feature is that it has well-known antibacterial properties and effective skin brightening properties.
- Salicylic Acid. BHA (Beta-hydroxyacid), SA can exfoliate skin both on the surface and in the pores since is lipid soluble and it can go right into the pores and shed the stuck, dead skin cells out from there, ideal for treating blackheads as well as preventing acne formation. It also provides anti-irritant and anti-inflammatory effect.
- Niacinamide. Niacinamide or vitamin B3 has many studies and skin benefits: (i)Anti-aging, wrinkle-smoothing, it boosts collagen production as well as keratin, filaggrin and involucrin synthesis. (ii)Skin-lightening: it suppresses the transfer of melanosomes (little spheres carrying the melanin pigment) from melanocytes to keratinocytes. (iii)Improves barrier repair functions by stimulating ceramide synthesis. (iv) Sebum regulating and anti-inflammatory. (v) Speeds up epidermal cell growth,smoothing skin structure, visibly reducing enlarged pores and improving uneven/dull skin tone.
- Dandelion extract (Taraxacum officinale). Softening, it soothes and improves skin texture with an antiseptic effect.
- Willow Bark extract (Salyx sp). Skin soothing benefits. It contains salicin (substance that can be converted into salicylic acid in the presence of certain enzymes). This substance has antiaging properties due to its content in polyphenols and flavonoids that contribute to its antioxidant effect.
- Green Tea leaf extract Green Tea extract (Camellia sinensis). One of the most researched vegetables for its beneficial properties and its content in catechins (polyphenols). Antimicrobial, antioxidant, astringent, emollient, moisturizer.
- Witch hazel leaf extract (Hamamelis virginiana).
- Yerba mate leaf extract (Ilex paraguayensis).
- Corn starch (Zea Mays).
- Bentonite. Natural clay used as an oil-absorbing agent in facial masks and other cosmetics.
- Propanediol Natural alternative to propylene glycol, obtained from sugar. Solvent, moisturizing, emollient and softening.
- Glycerin. Organic compound present in vegetable fat. Moisturizer.
- Lauryl glucoside. Vegetable origin obtained from coconut oil (mainly its fatty alcohols) and corn derived glucose
- Sodium levulinate. Natural preservatives from starch and vegetable inulin.
- Potassium sorbate. Natural preservative derived from potassium salt and sorbic acid (found in fruits of Sorbus accuparia or produced synthetically).
- Xantham gum. Polysaccharide produced from fermentation of sugar molecules used as a thickener and texture enhancer.
