Active ingredients
Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate. Mild vegetable origin surfactant derived from Coconut oil.
Ceteraryl alcohol. Fatty alcohol either naturally derived (coconut) or made synthetically. Emollient emulsifier, it enhances the foaming capacity of a cleanser. According to the U.S. FDA, cosmetic products labeled “alcohol free” are allowed to contain cetearyl alcohol, because the effects do not pose a risk of damaging or sensitizing your skin.
Lauryl glucoside. Mild surfactant that enhances cleansing, foaming and emulsifying properties of skincare and haircare products. Naturally derived from Coconut.
Coconut oil (Cocos nucifera). Oil rich in fatty acids with emollient and moisturizing properties.
Argan oil (Argania spinosa kernel oil). Argan oil comes from the kernel of the fruit of the argan tree that grows only in Morocco. It contains nourishing and moisturizing unsaturated fatty acids, mainly oleic, linoleic and palmitic. It also contains vitamin E, phenols (including caffeic acid, ferulic acid, and picatechin), as well as some rare sterols with soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. It can greatly nourish and moisturize the skin and hair. It’s also claimed to be able to neutralize collagen-damaging free radicals, help reduce scars, and revitalize and improve skin elasticity.
Chamomilla oil (Matricaria recutita). Plant with high content in terpenes, polysaccharides and flavonoids such as α-bisabolol and Epigenin that provide antioxidant and restoring benefits.
Arginine. Arginine is an amino acid naturally present in the body, considered essential to human development. As a skin care ingredient, it delivers antioxidant benefits and plays a role in repairing visible skin damage. Additionally, arginine’s hydration properties have been studied in depth. This essential amino acid plays a key role in skin’s natural production of replenishing substances such as proline and urea. Can be synthetic or animal derived.
PATAGONIAN VEGETABLE EXTRACTS
Great Mullein (Verbascum thapsus). Skin conditioning.
Marcela (Achyroline satureoides). Extract obtained from the flowers with skin conditioning properties.
Pichi (Fabiana imbricata). Extract of the leaves and stems, skin conditioning, tonic.
Plantain (Plantago lanceolata). Modern studies do confirm that the plant, and specifically the leaves are loaded with active compounds that give the extract anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antioxidant magic properties
Aloe vera extract (Aloe barbadensis). Aloe is a commonly used plant extract that has soothing properties, antioxidant qualities, and serves as a hydrating agent for skin due to its polysaccharide and sterol content.
Rosemary extract (Rosmarinus officinalis). Antioxidant (contains caffeic acid, carnosil and carnosic acids). Also helps reinforcing cosmetic preservative formulation.
Tocopherol (vitamin E). Fat-soluble antioxidant in our skin. Provides significant photoprotection against UVB rays. Vit C + Vit E work in synergy and provide great photoprotection. It has emollient properties
Sodium PCA. Sodium salt of PCA (Pyrrolidone carboxylic acid) that is part of our skin´s natural moisturizing factors. Found both in plant and animal tissue it’s a good humectant that has the capacity of both drawing and retaining humidity.
Caprylyl glycol. Skin and hair conditioning agent (plant derived from coconut or synthetic. Humectant. It can also help boost the preservative blend in formulations due to its antibacterial properties.
Walnut crushed seeds (Juglans regia). Natural abrasive.
Ylang-Ylang Oil (Cananga odorata flower oil). Sweet, exotic and floral essential oil obtained from the yellow, fragrant flowers of the Cananga tree native to tropical Asia.
