Active ingredients
Cetearyl alcohol. Fatty alcohol either naturally derived (coconut) or made synthetically. Emollient emulsifier, it enhances the foaming capacity of a cleanser. According to the U.S. FDA, cosmetic products labeled “alcohol free” are allowed to contain cetearyl alcohol, because the effects do not pose a risk of damaging or sensitizing your skin.
Behentrimonium methosulfate. Emulsifier and surfactant. Research indicates it is “skin friendly” because it does not impair intercellular lipids. It is especially popular in hair care formulations geared for curly textures where it serves as a conditioning agent to keep hair static-free, moisturized, and less prone to frizzing.
Jojoba seed oil (Simmondsia chinensis). Extracted from plant´s seed, jojoba oil has a texture similar to skin sebum providing restoring and emollient properties.
Coconut oil (Cocos nucifera). Oil rich in fatty acids with emollient and moisturizing properties.
Rosemary essential oil (Rosmarinus officinalis leaf oil). Antioxidant (contains caffeic acid, carnosil and carnosic acids). Also helps reinforcing cosmetic preservative formulation.
Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca alternifolia). One of the best-known essential oils which comes from Australia where it has been used for almost 100 years for its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory actions. Antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal effects. anti-acne ingredient.
Caprylic/capric triglyceride. Thanks to very high polarity, triglycerides act as a solvent for lipophilic active ingredients and a universal emollient with good skincare properties (both good spreading and conditioning) and pleasant after-feel on the skin.
Citrus Limon Peel Oil. Essential oil obtained from lemon´s peel. Perfuming, antiseptic and clarifying.
Tocopherol (vitamin E). Fat-soluble antioxidant in our skin. Provides significant photoprotection against UVB rays. Vit C + Vit
Capryl glycol Skin and hair conditioning agent (plant derived from coconut or synthetic. Humectant. It can also help boost the preservative blend in formulations due to its antibacterial properties.
