Active ingredients
- Hyaluronic Acid: HA is a big sugar molecule that can be found naturally in our body mainly in the dermis and in less quantity in the epidermis too. In skincare it is obtained from cock cockscomb (animal origin) and cereal and cellulose /cereal fermentation (vegetable origin). It has powerful moisturizing and hydrating properties with a high water-retention capacity. According to its size, it can be classified into different types but mainly into two: High molecular weight HA and Low molecular weight HA.
- Polyglutamic acid. A natural high-molecular weight amino acid polymer(big molecule from repeated subunits) claimed to have awesome, skin hydrating properties. It is a film-forming polymer that improves both the moisture binding and retention properties of the skin, capable of attracting and holding water within skin and on its surface.
- Panthenol (Provitamin B5). When topically applied, it converts to pantothenic acid, which is a naturally occurring substance within the body. There is also research showing that panthenol can help our skin to synthesize lipids that are important for a strong and healthy skin barrier.
- Aloe extract (Aloe barbadensis). Extract containing leaves of the Aloe vera plant. It has similar moisturizing, emollient and anti-inflammatory properties as the juice itself.
- Patagonian vegetable extracts.
–Great Mullein (Verbascum thapsus). Skin conditioning.
–Marcela (Achyroline satureoides). Extract obtained from the flowers with skin conditioning properties.
–Pichi (Fabiana imbricata). Extract of the leaves and stems, skin conditioning, tonic.
-Plantain (Plantago lanceolata). Modern studies do confirm that the plant, and specifically the leaves are loaded with active compounds that render it anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antioxidant magic properties.
- Propanediol. Natural alternative to propylene glycol, obtained from sugar. Solvent, moisturizing, emollient and softening.
- Sodium PCA. Sodium PCA is the sodium salt of PCA (pyrrolidone carboxylic acid, a natural amino acid derivative). Sodium PCA occurs in skin is part of skin’s natural moisturizing factor (NMF). As such, it and can also be found in both plant and animal tissue. Humectant.
- Sodium levulinate. Natural preservatives from starch and vegetable inulin.
- Potassium sorbate. Natural preservative derived from potassium salt and sorbic acid (found in fruits of Sorbus accuparia or produced synthetically).
