Active ingredients
- Ascorbic acid (vitamin C). Ascorbic acid is the most abundant naturally occurring antioxidant in our skin. Proven to reduce wrinkles and hyper-pigmentations. Particularly vulnerable when exposed to UV light and air, so it must be packaged to protect it from these elements during routine use.
- Yuzu fruit extract (Citrus junos). Skin conditioning. Known for its antiaging properties. It stimulates collagen production and helps inhibit the formation of advanced glycation end products (AGEs). Reduces fine lines and wrinkles improving elasticity.
- Maqui extract (Aristotelia chilensis). Extract from the berries contain a potent type of anthocyanic antioxidant known as delphinidin, which can help skin´s defense against UV light exposure and other relevant antioxidants: polyphenols, flavanols, other anthocyanins and ellagic acid, all of which work to squelch damaging free radicals.
- Ferulic acid. Ferulic acid is a phenolic antioxidant (a type that intercepts the damaging hydrogen radicals) that is naturally found in bran and bamboo shoots, among other plants. Research has shown that it provides its own benefits to skin while also enhancing the stability of other antioxidants, such as vitamins C and E, when paired with them. Also has clarifying and soothing properties.
- Hyaluronic Acid: HA is a big sugar molecule that can be found naturally in our body mainly in the dermis and in less quantity in the epidermis too. In skincare it is obtained from cock cockscomb (animal origin) and cereal and cellulose /cereal fermentation (vegetable origin). It has powerful moisturizing and hydrating properties with a high water-retention capacity. According to its size, it can be classified into different types but mainly into two: High molecular weight HA and Low molecular weight HA.
- Caprylyl glycol. Humectant skin and hair conditioning agent that may be plant-derived (from coconut, for example) or synthetic.
- Propanediol. Natural alternative to propylene glycol, obtained from sugar. Solvent, moisturizing, emollient and softening.
- Glycerin. Organic compound present in vegetable fat. Moisturizer.
